Originally Cambridge Investments Ltd was financing mainly cars, trucks and vans for Ian's other company, Cambridge Auto Court Ltd which was situated in Wellington. After 20 years running both companies, Ian moved to Waikanae and concentrated on general financing.

Ian also operates CAL Systems Ltd which is a company selling franchises to anyone wanting to start their own finance company. With over 30 years in the finance business, Ian has put together a franchise package which provides everything needed to own and run your own finance company with training and full support.

Office Manager (Margaret Greene) and Ian both do the training. Margaret has been with Cambridge Advances for 10 years and prior to that was with Post Bank/ANZ for 19 years. Ian's father was also in the banking world and his father-in-law was a finance company managing director. It is no surprise that with such a wealth of experience in the finance world Cambridge Advances Ltd is able to offer such a first rate service to its clients.
